Ignored Images

My work "Ignored Images" reflects the sights that we ignore in our everyday life. The story begins with the view from inside of our cars; through the windows of our cars, we see the landmarks that help us to define where we are, where we are going to, and accordingly we appreciate their existence and enjoy the sightseeing by looking at these images without considering the limitation of the frame that they have been mounted in.

In my work I am representing the same view that we value so much from the inside of the car, but, once we are out of the car, depreciation of these sights, as a reflection, in the frame of the car windows starts. These reflections, although, deformed by the curved forms that they have been molded in, and represent the environment in a deformed way, with a dark shape of shadows which reveals a fragment portion of the interior of the car, are integrated sight of our today’s city's landscape, that I value and capture.
